Hello all,

We would like to inform you about the following:

  • GNOME 47.1 newstable tarballs due
  • GNOME 46.6 stable tarballs due

Tarballs are due on 2024-10-12 before 23:59 UTC for the GNOME
47.1 newstable release, which will be delivered next week. Core modules
are not expected to follow the schedule for stable releases. Instead,
please release when you judge that a new stable release is required.
Modules released before this deadline will be included in the 47.1
update of the GNOME runtime.

Tarballs are due on 2024-10-12 before 23:59 UTC for the GNOME
46.6 stable release, which will be delivered next week. Core modules

Is this correct? The release calendar still says 2024-10-19.

We clearly have some scheduling snafus here.

Until we figure this out, I would assume the release is actually next week. The release reminder script is still following the GNOME 47 schedule, which due to a mistake is not consistent with the GNOME 48 schedule.
