Gimp 2->3 resize and paste problem

Hi,

I want to resize a photograph to the required size of a passport photograph and put 4 copies into a new image (which is large enough to hold these copies).

In Gimp 2, I resized the image, copied to the clipboard. Then created a new image and pasted the resized image 4 times into it.

In Gimp3 this doesn’t work - somehow the previous scaled gets changed. It’s probably due to the non-destructive edition in Gimp3.

What am I missing?

Works fine for me (GIMP 3.0.6, Linux Mint 22)
Do both your pictures (the copied one and the new one) have the same dpi resolution?
