Gdm failing to start

Hello,

I’m trying to start gdm on my lenovo duet via arch linux arm. I have obtained the following logs via journalctl from the gdm.service unit. I enabled debugging as per the admin troubleshooting doc.

It’s my preference to use wayland so I have not dropped in place an Xorg.conf. I do see a blinking cursor as mentioned in GDM - ArchWiki . I tried creating the suggested delay. The kms details seem somewhat irrelevant because I believe I’m not booting via an initrd image as suggested in that solution.

How do we determine what’s causing gdm to fail to start?

KMS is needed to run Wayland, I’d try to start KMS earlier to be sure.
