You know how Gnome Web (Epiphany) uses touchpad gestures to go back and fourth between pages, why not add it to Nautilus.
It will make Nautilus much faster to use for laptop users with no mouse.

Hi, that sounds like a nice feature to have! There are some technical limitations that currently make this not straightforward to implement. Once those are resolved, this would be good to have an issue for in the bug tracker.

Thanks for the idea.
I think this would be nice to have. But there are still a few technical challenges in keeping the previous directory view loaded in the background.
