Feature Request: Advanced File Copier Integration in Nautilus

Hello GNOME Developers,

I would like to propose integrating an advanced file copier into Nautilus, similar to TeraCopy on Windows.

Many users need additional file management features, such as:
:white_check_mark: Pause & Resume Transfers
:white_check_mark: Faster Copying & Moving Speeds
:white_check_mark: Detailed Progress Information (Time Remaining, Speed, etc.)
:white_check_mark: Error Handling & Logging
:white_check_mark: Queueing Multiple Transfers with Prioritization

Currently, Nautilus provides only basic file operations, and while tools like Ultracopier and rsync exist, they require manual setup and do not integrate seamlessly.

Could we have an optional built-in advanced file transfer manager in Nautilus? A plugin or extension would also be a great alternative!

Looking forward to your feedback. Thanks for considering this request!

Best regards,
Naeem Ur Rahman

Hi Naeem,

There are already open issues for the majority of the functionality you suggested, but it still needs code and design work:

Copy Queue
Pause/Resume
Detailed Operation Info
