Hey folks,
I noticed something that feels like a pretty big usability gap. GNOME Software only searches app names and descriptions in the current system language. That means if your system is set to German and you type “Drawing”, you won’t find com.github.maoschanz.drawing. You’d have to type “Zeichnung” instead.
This makes it really hard for multilingual users or people who just know an app by its English name (which is often the case when following online recommendations).
It’d be great if GNOME Software could search across all available translations in the app metadata, not just the active locale. Even an optional setting like “Search in all languages” would already fix this for a lot of people.
