I need to embed my calendar in .ics format to share it with another application. I configured automatic export with the calendar publishing plugin. But it doesn’t work.
So I tried to save the calendar I want to export manually (right click on the calendar). And there it works with this .ics file
Should I conclude that the Automate Publishing plugin doesn’t use Evolution’s standard calendar saving feature? If so, is there another way to automatically export a calendar file periodically?
Hi,
no, I do not think so. The publishing works. Your “it does not work” is
very vague, would you mind to be more specific about the publishing
settings and the exact problems with this, please?
You should get all error publishing messages in the GUI, as a
notification or something like that, but you can also run Evolution
from a terminal and watch the output there, in case it prints anything
only there.
You can force the publishing in the Calendar view’s menu
Actions->Publish Calendar Information.
Thanks for your feedback. I made a mistake. It seems to be working, but the problem is with the software I’m trying to import the file into… I’ll investigate further in the coming days.
