I am very new at using Evolution and I need help badly.
I installed it w/exchange app. I am running Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS.
I have no problem with gmail emails.
My problem is with “outlook files”. When I click on my outlook (saying I have x number of emails) all of the messages, its show them and then all will vanished without trace.
I search the internet for a solution and found none. Hopefully, someone can help me resolve this issue.
Being new at this forum I apologize if this is not the right place to post my question. I am going one being 78 in a couple of months and still learning new things. Thanks ahead for
any help or total solution. I really like Evolution having everything in one place.
Hi,
I do not recall seeing any such problem for a long time.
The 3.52.3 is not the oldest, but there had been done changes in the
Exchange connector meanwhile. Depending which one you use, I guess it’s
“Exchange Web Services”, right? If it’s “Microsoft 365” then you really
should update to the latest available code, like the one from the Flathub.org:
They (the flathub.org) has a nice information about how to enable the
flatpak on the various distros at:
Just pick your distro from the list and follow the instructions there.
For the problem you face itself, is it that you see the messages for a
tick of a second, then they disappear from the message list, but
otherwise they are still in the folder, thus you see this behavior
whenever you enter the folder, not only once and then the messages are
gone forever (but still kept on the server)? If so, maybe there’s
enabled a search on the folder. See: https://gnome.pages.gitlab.gnome.org/evolution/help/mail-cannot-see.html
That page mentions multiple options, where it can be you do not face
any of them.
I would also run Evolution from a terminal, to see whether it prints
anything related there.
