Evolution password

Hi, just setting up Evolution and really like it so far. I went searching where to enter the access-password and I find there is none.

Why is that not an option?

Ii need to get up from my desk a lot during a day. I’d have to set the screen saver to 1-minute to prevent someone jumping on and launching Evolution to read my emails.

With the screen saver set at 1-minute It would drive me nuts when I am at the desk and checking figures or on the phone.

Any possibility we could have one? Or-- is there one and I haven’t found it.

I am struggling to understand something as sensitive as emails can be started by anyone at any time.

It makes no sense to have a password to access a specific application. It gives a wrong impression of security while there is none.

The data of the application is stored/cached on your hard disk anyway. If I could not start your email application, then I’d access your sensitive emails simply in other ways by simply going to the places where your emails are stored. See Data storage locations

Please lock your system if you are in an environment in which others could access your system. The keyboard shortcut to lock your GNOME session is Super+L.
