Evolution "Empty Trash" doesn't appear to be working w/microsoft365 account type

Hi,

I am using Evolution 3.54.2 on Fedora 40. I am using the microsoft365 account type with a hotmail.com account.

With the same Evolution with a ews account type (day job), the “Empty Trash” File menu option and right clicking on the “Deleted Items” folder, “expunge” any deleted items I have in the “Deleted Items” folder.

But with a microsoft365 account type, this doesn’t work. I must go into the “Deleted Items” folder and re-delete it. In effect deleting a message twice.

Should I expect the two account types to function the same?

Am I doing something wrong?
Did I miss a setting?

Best,

/allen

If there’s debugging help I can do, please let me know.
