Evolution Contacts "file under" options (Linux)

Q1) How can I change the default “file under” option?
(…when creating / editing a contact).
NB My Evolution Contacts are connected to my Google Contacts.

Also Q2) How can I change the “file under” option of multiple Contacts
to e.g. = “Full Name”? or to the other option (looks like last name 1st).

Hi,

Google doesn’t have File Under as Evolution expects it, thus it is
computed on the fly. There is no option to influence this, even though
it had been brought up on various places in the past.

Also Q2) How can I change the “file under” option of multiple
Contacts to e.g. = “Full Name”? or to the other option (looks like
last name 1st).

Not possible. The offerings in the dialog are just something “what
likely can be used here”, otherwise it’s completely freely editable
value, where you can write anything you like.

You did not write what Evolution version you use, but since 3.58.0 the
default value for the File Under is Full Name value provided in the
contact. It’s EContact: Consider also FullName as FileAs (#3093) · Issues · GNOME / evolution · GitLab
