Evolution 3.46.4-2 doesn't respect KDE window title bar action settings

I recently upgraded from Debian 10 to Debian 12.5. I run “apt-get update” frequently. The current version of Evolution that is distributed by Debian is 3.46.4-2.

I have set up the KDE Settings → Window Management → Titlebar Actions so that left click raises the window, middle click shows window actions, and right click lowers it. All of the applications’ windows respect this – except for Evolution 3.46.4-2. Evolution doesn’t do anything in response to left or middle click in the title bar, and right click brings up the same titlebar actions menu that middle click brings up in all the other applications.

Is there a way to convince Evolution 3.46.40-2 to respect the KDE settings?

Hi,
Evolution is a gtk+ app, not a QT app, thus unless KDE can pass the
settings to the gtk+ apps, I’m afraid there’s not much hope. I do not
know KDE/Plasma though, someone using it might have a better answer.
Bye,

I do not recall whether your version already has the headerbar or not
(app specific action buttons shown in the title bar), but if it does,
try to turn it off, whether it’ll change anything.

It appears to have the app-specific header bar, if by that you mean one above the menu bar that has icons for New, Send/Receive, Reply, Group Reply, and Forward. How do I turn it off? If I turn it off, will the buttons move to the space below the menu bar where there are icons for other actions, but not those five?

First question: via “Edit > Preferences > Appearance”. Second question: yes.
