Enabling RDP screen sharing on Gnome with Debian 11

hey,
I want to be able to RDP (mstsc) to my debian machine from my windows pc.
I’ve got another two laptops one is ubuntu and the other is debian, on both I use gnome as desktop env.

on my ubuntu laptop it was pretty straight forward - just change screen sharing and mstsc now works.
however on debian it seems that only VNC is enabled but I would really like to have just one method of connecting to my laptops that is - mstsc.

is rdp on debian 11 supported by gnome remote desktop?

okay. there is an error in systemctl status which might point to an answer.

Failed to initialize RDP server: Couldn't find the server certificate or private keyfile
