Hello,
Recently get my new Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 and installed Fedora 43. After I disabled secure boot and configured hibernate everything looked great except one thing.
When laptop went to suspend and woke up to restore session I encountered following behaviour:
- Login screen successfully appeared
- I successfully logged in after resume
- Few seconds later one of two things has happened(systematically):
- Either screen blinked and get back to normal
- Or, Screen blinked → system went to suspend again → woke up → Logged in → all good
I was investigating what may cause such issues(tried to disable internal video on a kernel level and etc.), but solution was to disable xwayland-native-scaling.
gsettings set org.gnome.mutter experimental-features "['scale-monitor-framebuffer']"
gsettings get org.gnome.mutter experimental-features
['scale-monitor-framebuffer']
After this change, no issues with suspend or hibernate occured, system is running normal for about 10 days already.
Hope this feedback may help others and Gnome dev team.
