Hi 
I often type smileys, notably “:-)”, and often at the end of a line. So my habit is to type Return to end the line.
On discourse, it converts it in ":slight_smile: ".
I don’t like that, because, even if it gives the same result, it makes it harder to review the message before posting it.
Is it possible to disable this feature please ?
Is it possible? Yes, but only on a site-wide setting.
Will I disable it? No, because it’s a site-wide setting.

So, it would be nice to make it an user-wide setting.
Discourse isn’t developed by Gnome so if you want something to happen with this you have to take it to the Discourse community.
