I’ve now tried the Gnome versions of OpenSuse Aeon, Fedora Silverblue and also EndeavourOS.
All of them have exhibited the same core issue with Gnome:
When you set the desktop zoom/scale to an increased level, this is not reflected on the login screen after a reboot.
Now, you may technically be correct in that this setting is user specific, and since there’s no user logged in yet tough luck. However, most people probably only have a single user, at least immediately after first install, and then this becomes an accessibility issue.
At any rate, it’s rather poor UX…
