Current limits on creating new GitLab accounts

Due to a spambot wave, the GitLab admins for gitlab.gnome.org have imposed a series of limitations on the creation of new accounts.

  • Email accounts on gmail.com, outlook.com, yahoo.com, icloud.com and protonmail.com have been blocked from creating a new GitLab account
  • There is a 10 minutes delay after the account creation before the activation email will be sent, so do not worry if you don’t immediately receive an email for confirming your account

The admins have attempted to remove spam accounts that were created in the past 4 months; unfortunately, some legitimate accounts have been flagged as spam, and have been removed.

If your account was removed by mistake, please contact the admins with your account details, or you can try and recreate the account.
