Copy as link in Files

Is there any way to copy a folder/file and paste it as a symlink? If not, would this be a feature people would want? I’ve found myself going into the commandline a few times for this

Files has an option to enable this feature in its preferences. This enables right-click menu items “Paste as Link”, and “Create Link”.

In Files 42 and earlier, this also enables Ctrl + M (Paste as Link) and Ctrl + Shift + M (Create links to currently selected files) keyboard shortcuts. In Files 43, the shortcuts are already enabled.
