I’ve been using geary for about a year now, and suddenly, I’m no longer able to look up contacts when composing new emails. I start typing a name, and no matches pop up, whatsoever.
Fixed with a reboot, even when killing Geary didn’t work.

Hi Chewie, glad this is working now. Geary uses the GNOME address book for contact lookup, which is powered by evolution-data-service - maybe that was frozen and the reboot got it going again?
Ahh, that makes sense now. I didn’t realize it was dependent upon evolution. I probably started evolution accidentally, and then killed the service to “clean up.”
