The elementary OS file browser (Pantheon Files) and MacOS allows us to tag the folders name with colors.
How about this in nautilus?

Elementary Files is very cool and always a good source of inspiration.
A tagging feature has been considered for GNOME Files, and resulted in the implementation of the “Stars” feature. Stars are effectively tags, except there is only one “color” available. This makes it simpler and faster because there is no need to think about which color is more adequate.
In practice, is one color enough? Stars are still relatively new, people are just starting to use them. It’s probably too early to conclude that we need multiple colors.
But who knows? Let’s keep the mind open. It’s not a plan for the present but it might be for the future.
