Code Examples in GTKMM Documentation

Hi GNOME,

First of all, I want to thank you very much for your commitment to GNOME and everything surrounding it!

I’m struggling through the GTKMM documentation and wanted to ask whether the source code of the examples could be greatly improved with some code highlighting? I find it hard to read with the gray background and gray font, like this: The View

Unfortunately, I’m a total HTML/css novice and couldn’t contribute. I would be very happy if the examples were much easier to read through some kind of code highlighting.

Thank you very much!

I also struggle with reading those, so I end up looking at them on gitlab, e.g. examples/book/listmodelviews/gridview/examplewindow.cc · master · GNOME / gtkmm-documentation · GitLab

Hi agpotter,

Thank you! I didn’t even know that page. That helps a lot, thank you!

If you want to read many example files, it might be easier to download them.
Either download the git repository or download a tarball from
Index of /sources/gtkmm-documentation/4.10/.
Then you can read them in any editor.

Tracked in https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtkmm-documentation/-/issues/24.

This is addressed in gtkmm-documentation/merge_requests/23.
