I am using Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.1 with gnome-screenshot which inserts the words “Screenshot from” followed by the date and time as the default caption image caption. Where this string & template stored to be modified for my requirement?
Upstream gnome-screenshot has the filename hardcoded: src/screenshot-filename-builder.c · master · GNOME / GNOME Screenshot · GitLab. If you need the filename to be different you’ll need to recompile their package with your changes.
