Posting this under Applications/geary, though it also applies to Gnome Settings/Online Accounts.
Similar to this thread, which did not solve my issue.
When I attempt to connect in geary, using the imap settings provided by the outlook web interface, I am shown the following:
Using Online Accounts/Microsoft Exchange, shows this:

Not sure how to provide more information but I’m happy to do so.
The same happened when using “student.scad.edu”.
Using “scad.edu”, I invariably see “Failed to parse autodiscover response XML”.
