On behalf of the Board, this is a call for nominations for the Pants of Thanks award.
Every year, during the Foundation’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at GUADEC, we give out the Pants of Thanks award. This is a “lifetime achievement” kind of award for people who have done outstanding work in GNOME.
To keep everything a surprise for the nominees, please send your nominations to me at federico@gnome.org - I’ll forward them to the Board to choose a winner to be announced during GUADEC.

Why? Nominations were always sent to the board directly.
I think that it’s because the board doesn’t have a mailing list any more. board@gnome.org exists but does not do what you want in this case.
Yes, exactly that. Mailing board@ creates a ticket in GitLab nowadays, so instead of collating multiple tickets into the one we are tracking the pants nominations, it’s easier to do it from one normal email.
Pants nominations are closed now. The Board will go through your suggestions. Thank you to everyone who participated!
