Yes, of course. I neglected to put up layers to show you. But this is what it does. (See attached)
I am sure I am doing something wrong. It was working, then started doing this.

Note that Layer 2 is active in Layers; select the top layer to draw on that one. You have the layer mode set to Linear Burn, not Normal, too.
