Auto-Scaling Screen Size of all monitors

Hi
I’ve been wondering, if Gnome on Wayland has the ability to auto-scale the screen-size to the highest available resolution.
I have a 5K Monitor that’s connected to a notebook running Arch Linux with a screen-resolution of 1920x1080 via Thunderbolt 3.

Whenever I connect my notebook, the 5K Monitor scales only up and only to 2560x1080.
When using KDE Plasma on Wayland, it scales my monitor up to 5120x2160.

Is there something hidden in the codebase of Gnome, which limits scaling more than 2560x1080?

Cheers
