I have never tried to use this feature before so be patient with me.
I want to add a file from google drive as an attachment in the patient portal for my doctor’s office without having to first download it to my local drive.
I added my google account to the gnome settings panel.
I click the button to attach the document (jpg file) in the patient portal web application but I get an error message " file type not supported…" . If I first download the file and then go through the same process you attachment works fine.
This appears to be have been reported in the past (Opening files from google drive with Nautilus and GNOME Online Accounts)
This a recent install of ubuntu 24.04 and chrome Version 125.0.6422.76 (Official Build) (64-bit).
I recreated the issue around here is the (non-sudo) ouput from journalctl :
