I have 2 Wi-Fi adapters on my system, an Intel CNVi and a USB adapter. The Intel CNVi one is connected to a network with captive portal and the USB one is used for Hotspot to my local IoT devices.
There are some occasions that I need to turn the Intel CNVi Wi-Fi off, while keeping the USB Hotspot on. Whether I click the Wi-Fi button in gnome-shell (see below) or the toggle button in Intel CNVi Wi-Fi’s preferences pane in gnome-control-center, all adapters are turned off.
Is there a way to turn only one Wi-Fi adapter off from gnome-shell or gnome-control-center? Currently I’m using nmcli con down <captive_wifi_name>
to achieve what I need.
I’m running GNOME 47.1 on Fedora Silverblue 41.
