Adjust exposure scale

When adjusting a photo the exposure scale runs from -16 to +16. Is there a relation between those numbers and exposure stop setting on a camera? E.g. If a photo is under exposed by 0.3 stop, what is the number in Shotwell to result in 0 stop?

Would make sense, but there is no correlation that I am aware of. That said, it doesn’t mean that there isn’t one. Sorry
