I am using Dia version 0.97 + git, compiled at 13:15:39 on Feb 14 2018 and I find that the symbol library is not always suitable for my needs. For example it is easy to find a floppy disk drive (disappeared from today’s computers) while a DVD drive cannot be found. My question is are there additional symbols in the computer field?

The Cisco shapes are a bit of a time warp
Unfortunately Dia doesn’t have any shapes related to DVDs that I know of
Of course third-party sheets may have them, or indeed you can create your own
