Add an app entry to help.gnome.org

I’d like to add gnome-software (for which mallard help pages were added recently) entry to help.gnome.org website.

Any documentation / pointers would be helpful.

Refer https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/-/issues/2498#note_2196956 for background.

You can’t: help.gnome.org is unmaintained, and any attempt at changing it will result in additional awful breakage.

The replacement is help-web, but it’s currently unmaintained as well, and needs somebody to pick it up.

Will adding an entry for gnome-software break things ? We are not modifying code, just adding to input data.

That’s not the issue: help.gnome.org is essentially frozen in time. Nobody can add or subtract to it. The underlying service used the release archives uploaded to download.gnome.org to extract the HTML pages and modified them to fit into the existing style. That service was retired because it’s unmaintained and used a very EOL environment.

Thanks for the clarification.
