A guide to building GIMP on Linux using Flatpak

This guide uses a practical example of how to build a custom version of GIMP using Flatpak. I don’t recommend you compile unverified and complex code on your system. I also don’t recommend jumping out of planes, gambling and swimming with sharks. However, it’s a fairly simple guide to building versions of your GIMP source code, using the Flatpak system. It’s a good way to build GIMP from a remote source or from a local folder, and to have as many flavors of GIMP as you like on one system.
