3.0.4 claims that it fixes copying a to other programs getting the whole canvas for the paste but here I did it and it happens again: I’ve 5000x5000 lower layer, then I have 512x512 upper layer. I copied the upper 512 layer (Ctr+C) to paste in MS Paint (Windows 11) and it still pasted the lower canvas. Okay maybe the 5000x5000 is above as I have multiple layers some are also on top of the 512 but I specially select the 512x512 layer and it pasted in Paint with the large canvas even though in Gimp it has the yellow canvas contour of smaller than the 5000x5000, I press Ctr+A then Ctrl + C for clipboard to paste in Paint. Oh and yes double Ctrl+A will select alll layers and copy them all over, got to watch out for this,

Align tool is a bit weird in 3.0+ compared to 2.10. Usually I click the icon where I want for example again the 512 image to go in 5000x5000 but by default it moves it with halfway cut outside the canvas. You have to specially untick ‘Select layers’ click where to move it, then tick back. That is often if you want top image towards the lower large image,
Then if you want to move another image next to the first one, align tool will be hassle to figure out. Or if you want to move it from upper left to say lower right, again unless you untick Select layers, choose lower right, tick again, in 2.10 it was more direct.
