東京在住の日本人です。子どものころはBCL(短波放送)に夢中でした。それからそのへんにあるいろいろなものを分解しては中をのぞいていました。いつだったか、テレビを分解したい衝動に駆られたことがありましたが、その時は親から止められましたね。

そういうわけで大学での専攻科目は電気工学でしたが、卒業後はそういう方面の仕事には就かず(就けず)、デザイン系の会社に就職しました。現在はとあるところで校閲・校正業をしています。

細かいところに目がいく(日本風に言うと、重箱の隅をつつくような)漢字オタクでもあります。

I’m a Japanese native living in Tokyo. As a kid, I was totally hooked on BCL(shortwave radio). I used to take apart all sorts of things just to see what was inside. I even had the urge to open up our TV once, but my parents stopped me before I could.

I majored in electrical engineering at university, but after graduating, I didn’t (or couldn’t) end up working in that field. Instead, I joined a design-related company. These days, I work in proofreading and copyediting at a certain place.

I’m also kind of a kanji nerd—I tend to nitpick the tiniest details, the kind of stuff most people wouldn’t even notice.
