Workflow of Gnome-Desktop

Hi Guys, i am new to this. I doint know how you use the desktop but in my use it comes out that the use of dwm is the best. That means i can switch the workplace by super+number and move the application super+shift+number. i think that super+number to start a application is not the best way - its my meaning

I solut this behavior by a script because in settings you can set only shortkeys for 4 workplaces and depends on the extension some settings will overwrite on different points.

If you ask me what gnome needs i will answer this kind of use of dwm by setting Mod1 to Mod4(Super) - out of the box

Thx and i am tense on youre answers

I donโ€™t remember the key path now, but you can install dconf editor and look for โ€œworkspaceโ€. You should find everything you want there.

I also used these, but then i decided to give intended shortcuts a go and I kept using them. However, i also added shortcut to move between workspaces Super+Meta+{Left or Right}.

hi victoria, thx for youre answer. Yes i already test it but i doint like it because if i had more application open i scroll to much and look which is where. I like the new feature of dash to dock that the mouse wheel can scoll by hoovering on the panel. I think there are different ways and workflows. Maybe i doint really understand the philosphy of the desktop but really i think the controll of dwm with the workplaces is a good out of the box setting and interessting for many people :grimacing:
