Wi-fi hotspot not configurable

The Wi-fi hotspot available at GNOME Control Center (Settings) is not configurable. It defaults to a specific network profile and that’s it. The problem is that I’m having a hard time connecting some devices to the hotspot, because these devices require a different network profile in order to work properly. The only configurable parts of the hotspot are the SSID and password. It would be very nice if at least the security standard had a configuration box like SSID and password do. Other nice to have options would be MAC address and Hidden Network toggle.

You can open a new issue at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/issues/, if your issue doesn’t already exist.

Note, GNOME Control Center is currently a bit overloaded with issues and feature requests.

Refer https://discourse.gnome.org/t/maintainership-of-gnome-settings/12866 for some background.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
