The mouse sometimes “jumps” rather than to move smoothly. It seems that also click not always work. Is it because of Firefox in the background?

I am running Ubuntu 19.04.
There was an issue with mutter that caused some stuttering for people with apps and the mouse pointer. A patch has been submitted in the GNOME GitLab. You’ll see these performance improvements in Ubuntu 19.10 when it’s released on the 17th or you can install the beta.
