vala-language.org is currently sitting high up in DDG’s rankings, e.g. for vala lang freeze_notify at DuckDuckGo

but at least for me it’s been taken over by spam/malware

Is anyone else seeing this? I see now that vala.dev and valadoc.org are the primary docs for Vala, but given that this (old?) domain is still ranking high is there anyone who could attempt to recover it and put in a redirect to valadoc.org?

Probably not. Once a domain is lost, the new owner will probably expect a large payment to get it back. It’s imperative to not lose the domain in the first place.

We also recently lost libsoup.org unfortunately. (Visiting not recommended.)
