Things got much worse with Fedora 43 upgrade!

Hello. I am a long-time Fedora/GNOME user. When a new version of Fedora comes out, I almost always do a full install. I run a very vanilla installation. I don’t even use the GNOME tweaks (or whatever they’re called). I format the drives, install Dropbox and I’m good to go.

With this latest version (Fedora 43/GNOME 49), I have discovered some very annoying problems. First is the terminal. I see random dots all the time. While they are distracting, I can usually resize the window or reopen and they go away.

But the real annoying issue is when I have VS Code or IntelliJ open in their own workspace. When I use CTRL + ALT + to navigate to them, the cursor goes into scroll mode when I releas the CTRL & ALT. I have to press the arrow key in the opposite direction to make it stop.

After spending an hour with Grok, I finally got VS Code to stop doing this but it was an ugly hack. I cannot seem to get IntelliJ to stop.

I do not believe these are the fault of IntelliJ or VS Code. Especially considering I have run vanilla Fedora/GNOME for years and it wasn’t until 43 I saw this.

Am I alone in this issue? Do I need to downgrade to 42? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
