I have no idea why thumbnails fail to load, mainly when it comes to images. The corresponding packages don’t work as far as I can see. I’m running Fedora Rawhide with GNOME 49. Do you have any idea what’s going on here?
We’ve been having some trouble with gdk-pixbuf and glycin. The plan now is to turn off the gdk-pixbuf thumbnailer and enable the glycin thumbnailer instead. It’s on my to-do list and hopefully we’ll get things fixed soon.
There has been an issue with gdk-pixbuf not disabling the sandbox for saving images inside the thumbnailer as well as zbus before 5.10 not working inside the thumbnailer sandbox. Both have been fixed and should work once Fedora ships the latest versions of the packages.
PS: There still seems to be an issue with Nautilus sometimes not loading thumbnails until switching between views, which is unrelated to all of this.
It didn’t reach fedora rawhide
