I have found some contradictory information on the subject.
Apparently the management of X.509 certificates including private keys used to work and according to this graphic and this wiki page, it should work at the moment?
But there seem to be problems importing certificates using Seahorse (Seahorse Issue 205; I’m only allowed two links)? Are there alternative ways for import?
What is the current status?
Can certificates currently be imported into Gnome (ideally with non-exportable private key)?
If not, what is the reason? Where are the problems? Where would one have to start?
The topic seems to be quite complex with multiple components and libraries involved.
If someone could enlighten me, that would be great!
