Sender/Subject/Date brings up wrong content

Hi every body,

I am very new in this forum and I seeking your help.

Searching for some older Mail I discovered that all mail older then a few month have the entry in the window and the content tangled. Clicking on a mail brings up an other (random?) mail.
Also I noticed some mails in the inbox or the sent folder wont show in the “all mail” folder.

I use:
Evolution 3.42.4 Groupware Suite
On:
OpenSuse Leap 15.4
KDE-Plasma 5.24.4,
KDE-Framework 5.90.0

Could someone please help me to solve this problem.

Hi,

this usually means some problem in the local cache, a folders.db file,
which provides information shown in the message list in the Evolution
or the downloaded messages as such. It used to be a problem in the
past, but I do not recall whether it was before or after yours 3.42.4.
It might also depend on the account type this exhibits on (On This
Computer, IMAP, …) and, in case of the IMAP, what server/service you
connect to.

Also I noticed some mails in the inbox or the sent folder wont show
in the “all mail” folder.

What is the “all mail” folder, please? Evolution doesn’t have any such
thing, as far as I can tell. If it’s provided by the server, then
that’s a question for the server admins, I’m afraid.

The mail account is protonmail with a local mail bridge which in turn uses IMAP for incomming Mail.

This usually means some problem in the local cache, a folders.db file

I already suspected something like this. Is there some way to rebuild this cache?

What is the “all mail” folder, please?

This folder is displayed - along with the usual folders like inbox, sent, spam, … - as “All Mail”. It normally contains. as the name suggests, all the mail from inbox, sent, spam, etc.
I mentioned this only to highlight that something with the way the mail are represented is wrong.

Is there anything you could suggest to get things cleared up?
As all my mails are still one the server and in good order should I clear the local cache and download again from the server into evolution?
