Describe the bug | improvement
Can’t import a AntennaPod generated OPML feed file via Sources “Podcast” in the Rhythmbox app. Please add support for the AntennaPod feed format.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to ‘Podcasts’
- Click on ‘Add’
- Drag and drop file from explorer into input field
- Delete the drag and drop added characters at the end in the given path
- Click Search button
Expected behavior
Recognition of my provided OPML file to add my personal podcast feed to Rhythmbox.

Issue both present with non flatpak system package 3.4.7
Flatpak package 3.4.9
No information found in help center or gnome-rhythmbox docs. Regarding import of OPML files in Rhythmbox.
Discussion [big IMO not a maintainer, or anything here]
There is the gnome podcasts app but you still can use podcasts here? Ok… will the feature set then be improved upon or will we just have to deal with how it is forever as is. I know it’s only an addition to the programs original intent and scope but you still support it currently.
So there is a couple of options on the table here I would suggest hiding as default if no change is going to be present in the future to hinder frustration or lead people over to the more promising program because this legacy support ain’t gonna cut it for now I feel like.
Or promoting the use of the gnome podcasts app or migrating podcasts app within rhthymbox for the future.

AntennaPod also supports export to html / db own file.
No support found from #rhthymbox-gnome in Libera.chat or in matrix rhthymbox channel.
