Retiring Gtk.StyleContext

Reading documentation, GtkStyleContext is getting retired starting 4.10. I just got curious - what would be proper way to connect GtkCssProvider to, well, everything? Or it just happens automatically now?

tl;dr: gtk_style_context_add_for_display() has not been deprecated. What’s been deprecated is:

  • GtkStyleContext
  • the API to look up CSS state and properties
  • per-widget style contexts and providers
