Request to add Brahui (brh) to Damned Lies and create a translation team

Hello,

I would like to start a Brahui translation team for GNOME.

Brahui is currently not listed as a language/team on Damned Lies, so I would like to request that the language be added and a Brahui translation team be created.

Language details:

  • English name: Brahui
  • Native name: براہوئی
  • ISO 639-3 code: brh
  • Primary locale: brh_PK
  • Script: Arabic / Perso-Arabic
  • Direction: RTL
  • Region: Pakistan
  • Proposed gettext plural rule: nplurals=2; plural=(n != 1);

I already have an account on Damned Lies and would be happy to serve as the initial coordinator and begin translating GNOME into Brahui.

Brahui localization work is also being developed in the wider Linux/i18n ecosystem, including locale support, so I would like to establish the GNOME translation side as well.

Please let me know whether any additional information is required for creation of the language and team.
