Recent GTK on OpenVMS

Could someone please explain what is required to have GTK run on OpenVMS?

Have you tried building GTK on an OpenVMS system? Because I’m fairly sure nobody involved with GTK has access to OpenVMS.

There is a gtk1.2.10 port around, years ago created by COMPAQ. This one is stable, but still GTK1.

I gave a newer version a try, but that is completely instable

I know that some years ago John Malmberg also gave it a try. I have no idea about the status of his port. But I know it had still a lot of problems at that time.
