Heyy! My name is Niklas, I am a new Foundation member
I am currently studying Engineering Science at the Technical University of Munich. Before I started studying engineering, I had a formal education in CS and worked some time in the role of a Software Developer.
Even though my new field of study is only tangentially related to CS, programming and computers are still my greatest hobbies. Other than that, I like to read a lot and I enjoy being outdoors
I started contributing to GNOME Calendar primarily because I was annoyed that Calendar could not duplicate events. Half a year later, Calendar can still not duplicate events (I learned a lot and am now in the process of starting attempt number 2, so hopefully soon!), but I did find a lot of new friends and I do now consider myself an active part of the development team and the broader GNOME community.
You can find me hanging out in the GNOME Calendar matrix room and wandering the Calendar issue tracker and merge requests.
Thank you all for welcoming me
