New icon for Denemo: help wanted

Don’t know if this is the right place to ask. Denemo is a Gtk app but it’s not part of GNOME. If you know better places to ask for help please let me know.

I’m the maintainer of org.denemo.Denemo flathub package and yesterday I’ve started working on solving the Flathub quality guidelines issues of Denemo.

The difficult one to fix is the application icon check. Denemo has a PNG file and nobody can find the source used to build it. The PNG has a very low resolution so any vectorization from the PNG file wouldn’t work well. It must be redrawn from scratch by someone who has design skills. I don’t have these skills unfortunately.

It could also be a good chance to modernize the icon.

I’m in touch with Richard, Denemo main developer. He knows I’m asking for help for the icon redesign.

I think you can open an issue here, I’m not sure if that’s for any GTK apps or just Adwaita apps.

Thanks for the link! It seems the right place to ask.

I found the link to Tobias’ tutorial on app icon making (which I remember I read ~6 years ago). It’s a fantastic tutorial and if I come up with a good idea I might give it a try and draw the icon by myself.
