Hi, the restore button within the trash banner got removed with this merge Trash infobar fixes (!943) · Merge requests · GNOME / Files · GitLab. Has this been on purpose or is it a regression/side effect? I can’t find any mention for this anywhere else and also the release notes do not mention this rework much.
And is it possible to return the ‘restore’ button to the banner?
Hi, the change was intentional to match the banner design recommended by the HIG, see Banners - GNOME Human Interface Guidelines
We might explore other ways to bring back the restore more prominently. There was mockups of a floating action button, that might be a possibility.
Thank you for the information.
I am curious - are these mock ups viewable somewhere (I am still rather lost in the whole eco system)?
I couldn’t find them, they probably are somewhere in files · master · Teams / Design / app-mockups · GitLab but I think the mockup itself was about something different.
