Nautilus theme - built-in option to change theme style

Hi,

nautilus needs a build-in theme option similar to gnome-text-editor:

lots of users are using dark theme for system settings but it’s hard to work with text documents when daylight is strong. Gnome text editor is a excellent example how single application manages it. Using global dark and light just for selected application when needed.

Nautilus needs the same functionality, in day light I want to use light theme for it when working a lot of with files. It’s good accessibility improvement. Please consider developing similar option.

Hi

When daylight is strong, dark mode is terrible for everything IMO, why not just toggle it from the menu? Easier than every single app providing a setting.

Sure, you can use it but I set other apps like browser theming, YT background theme, Qt apps etc. and force them to use dark theme to be consistent with global Gnome dark theme, I think it would be easier just to switch theme of one app with is used the most while work day then breaking everything else. As a person who has obsession syndrome(sorry, don’t know this exact name for it in English, obsessive-compulsive disorder? ) l loose my focus when something is out of palce and it’s hard to work and I note it all day. I guess it’s minor case as not so many people as me need it but if somone in future could add this option this would be so good

To me consistency means apps following the system light/dark preference, unless explicitly told otherwise.

Together with Settings, nautilus is a prime example of a system app, if it doesn’t follow the system theme, then why have one at all?
